Right of Withdrawal

1. General principle

In accordance with Articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, any consumer has a period of 14 calendar days from receipt of their order to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to give reasons or pay penalties.

2. Exception for food products

Pursuant to Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for:

• Goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, in particular food products, biscuits and handmade products made to order.
• Products that have been unsealed after delivery for hygiene or health protection reasons.

Consequently, products sold by Opaleia (artisan biscuits, shortbread and sweet treats) are considered perishable food items and cannot be returned or refunded under the right of withdrawal.

3. Non-food products (where applicable)

If the website offers non-food products (gift packaging, accessories, cards or reusable boxes), the right of withdrawal applies under the following conditions:

• A 14-day period from receipt of the goods.
• The customer must inform Opaleia of their decision to withdraw by email at contact@opaleia.fr.
• The product must be returned complete, unused and in its original packaging.
• Return costs are borne by the customer.
• The refund will be made within a maximum of 14 days from receipt of the compliant return.

4. Withdrawal procedure

For any product eligible for the right of withdrawal:

1. Notify the decision to withdraw by email to contact@opaleia.fr.
2. Use the model form below (optional).
3. Return the product to the address provided by customer service, at your own expense, within 14 days of notification.

6. Refund

Refunds for eligible products are made using the same payment method as that used for the order, within a maximum of 14 days after receipt of the compliant return. Opaleia reserves the right to delay the refund until the product has been effectively recovered.
