Terms and conditions of sale
Terms applicable to orders for Opaléia handcrafted biscuits and creations.
Seller and scope
These terms govern sales made on www.opaleia.fr by Carole Chessa, Maryse, sole trader, 330 route des Collines, 26350 Le Chalon, France, SIREN 440 378 263.
Confirming an order means accepting the terms in force on that date. The customer receives an order summary by email on a durable medium.
Products, prices and availability
Products are handcrafted biscuits and creations. Descriptions state their essential characteristics. Handcrafting may cause slight variations in appearance, weight or texture.
Prices are displayed in euros and are final prices. Opaléia is exempt from charging VAT under the French small-business exemption: “TVA non applicable, art. 293 B du CGI”. Delivery charges and the total payable are shown before the order is confirmed.
Offers are subject to availability. If a product becomes unavailable after ordering, the customer is informed and may receive a refund for the relevant amount.
Order and payment
The customer checks the basket, contact details, delivery and total price before confirming the order. Opaléia may refuse or suspend an order in the event of an obvious error, suspected fraud or payment incident.
Payment methods shown at checkout include card payment through Stripe and, where available, bank transfer. Opaléia does not store card details. A bank-transfer order remains pending until the funds are received and matched.
Delivery, receipt and storage
The delivery area, method, price and estimated period are shown before payment. The customer must provide a complete address and check the parcel on receipt. Any problem should be reported promptly with supporting evidence.
Storage instructions shown on the product page, packaging or enclosed documents must be followed. Opaléia is not responsible for deterioration caused by unsuitable storage after delivery.
Withdrawal, returns and guarantees
The statutory fourteen-day withdrawal right applies where required by law. It may be excluded for goods made to customer specifications, goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, and certain sealed goods that cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed. Any applicable exclusion is stated before ordering.
Statutory conformity and hidden-defect guarantees remain applicable. For damaged, non-conforming or incorrect goods, contact contact@opaleia.fr with the order number and relevant photographs.
Liability, mediation and governing law
Opaléia is not liable for misuse, unsuitable storage or force majeure, without limiting mandatory consumer rights.
Complaints should first be sent to contact@opaleia.fr. Details of the consumer mediator selected by the business must be published before commercial launch. These terms are governed by French law without depriving consumers of mandatory protection in their country of residence.
